PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vent device capable of safely discharging exhaust gas flowing from a reactor containment vessel while suppressing a consumption of inert gas.SOLUTION: A vent device includes: a vent pipe 11 connected to a reactor containment vessel 1 containing a reactor 5; a tank 12, connected to the vent pipe 11, into which exhaust gas from the reactor containment vessel 1 flows; an exhaust pipe 13, connected to the tank 12, causing the exhaust gas having flowed into the tank 12 to be discharged outside the tank 12; an inert gas supply pipe 14, connected to the tank 12, for supplying an inside of the tank 12 with inert gas; an opening/closing valve 15 provided in the inert gas supply pipe 14; a temperature sensitive element 16, provided on the exhaust pipe 13, which, when a temperature of the pipe is higher than a reference pipe temperature used as a reference, outputs a valve closing signal; and a controller 20, connected to the opening/closing valve 15 and the temperature sensitive element 16, which, if the valve closing signal is acquired from the temperature sensitive element 16, controls the opening/closing valve 15 so as to close the valve. |
