A mechanical seal device includes a rotary ring 7 which is fixed to a rotary shaft 300, a fixed ring 4 which is slidably in contact with the rotary ring 7 and forms an annular seal surface S, a bellows 5 which supports the fixed ring 4 so as to bias the fixed ring 4 toward the rotary ring 7, a spring 6 which biases the fixed ring 4 toward the rotary ring 7, and a seal cover 2 which is attached to a housing 200, supports the bellows 5 such that an outer peripheral surface of the bellows 5 is on the inside A of the housing 200 relative to the seal surface S, and supports the spring 6 at a position located on the outside B of the housing 200 relative to the seal surface S and side by side with the bellows 5 in an axial direction of the rotary shaft 300. |
