[Class 65 (i)] A gate 16 consisting of a net or roller shutter is operated by a vehicle on either of two runways 11, 12 hinged at their outer ends 13 and resting at their inner ends on a crossbar 7 carrying the gate and connected to counterweights 9, 10. The gate is lowered into a trough 17 in the ground and the runways into channels 26. In another form, a barrier is arranged above the gate and is raised on a pivot as the gate is lowered. |
