PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter press which is increased in treatment capacity by utilizing effectively two or more sheets of filter cloth provided in a filter chamber.SOLUTION: In a filter press, a plurality of filter plates 10 are arranged in parallel to form a filter chamber between the filter plates 10; two or more sets of the pair of filter cloth sheets 13a and 13b are arranged in the filter chambers; and a plurality of filter chambers 12a and 12b are formed with the individual pairs of the filter cloth sheets 13a and 13b. Stock solution is press-charged into the individual filter chambers 12a and 12b at the same time to carry out solid-liquid separation. Stock liquid supply paths (14) communicating between the filter plates (10) are provided by the number of the pair of the filter cloth sheets (13a, 13b); openings branched from the stock solution supply paths (14) each communicates between the pair of the filter cloth sheets (13a, 13b); and squeezing is executed with an arranged diaphragm (11) after injection of the stock solution. |
