A PCB mount 20 for an electric motor comprises a plurality of deforinable receivers 22 formed to project from a motor housing 14 and/or at least one end cap 16. Each receiver 22 has at least one clamping element 24 which at least in part defines an opening for receiving a projecting locator 26 of a PCB 28. The clamping element 24, when deformed by tool parts 42, promotes in use point clamping engagement with the projecting locator 26 to secure the PCB 28 to the motor housing 14 and/or at least one end cap 16, whilst preferably simultaneously providing an electrical ground connection via ground conductor 26a. In a twin legged receiver having a cross bar 32, tool receiving recesses 34 are formed in the legs 30, wings 36 improving engagement. Cut out 38 in the cross bar ensures that the V shaped distortion ios achieved on clamping. The clamping element may alternatively be a single upright in the form of a cantilevered arm which is deformed to trap the PCB locator 26, a dimple or projection being provided on the arm contact surface to ensure good contact with the locator for grounding purposes. |
