The present invention discloses a data transmission method, device, and system and relates to the field of communications technologies, so that data in a data flow may be transmitted to a destination device according to an actually needed transmission path. The method includes: receiving, by a network function NF entity, first data sent by a terminal device according to first routing information; and instructing, according to a data type of the received first data, a controller device to update the first routing information to second routing information, so that the terminal device sends second data according to the second routing information sent by the controller device, where a data transmission path included in the second routing information does not pass through the NF entity.
