[Class 52 (ii)] A frame structure for aeroplane and other seats comprises stanchions 10, preferably connected by a U-tube base part 12, supported adjustably on base tracks 11, and a seat supporting frame comprising one piece tubular member 14, 15, 16, Fig. 4, connected by upright sleeves 17 which slide on the stanchions and are adjustable thereon. The blocks 18, Fig. 5, secured by straps 19 to sleeves are rigidly connected to the transverse part 16 and provided with spring pins 21 engageable with notches 22 in the stanchions. The straps may be held from movement relative to the part 16 by pins 20, and the spring pins may be retracted by forked members 29 on a transverse rock shaft 28 actuated by a hand lever 25, link 26 and arm 27. Elastic supports 33 may extend from a top cross member 34 of the stanchion frame to the part 16 of the seat frame to raise the seat frame during adjustment.
