PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven capable of performing sufficient cooking.SOLUTION: A microwave oven comprises: a heating chamber for housing an object to be cooked; a magnetron arranged in an electric equipment chamber adjacent to the heating chamber; a blower fan arranged in the electric equipment chamber; and a thermopile type infrared sensor faced to the heating chamber via an opening opened on a partition wall of the heating chamber and the electric equipment chamber, and arranged in an airflow formed in the electric equipment chamber by the blower fan. The magnetron and the blower fan are driven and temperature of the object to be cooked is detected by the infrared sensor, so as to perform cooking. After the magnetron is stopped, the blower fan is gradually decelerated and stopped. |
