A data acquisition permission flag is stored that turns ON when the port level of the injection monitoring signal goes Lo and turns OFF when the port level of the injection monitoring signal goes Hi. Even if the port level of the injection monitoring signal goes Lo, no time is read in as a fuel injection time in response to a change of the port level of the injection monitoring signal when the data acquisition permission flag is already ON. Where there occurs a short interval, this configuration prevents the fuel injection amount from being calculated inaccurately due to the port level being identified successively as Lo for continual edge-triggered interrupt calls.
