An envelope, having an envelope body 100 and a closure flap 150 extending from the envelope body, the closure flap having an outer edge and lateral or side edges 155, and fold lines 150f which extend from each lateral edge to the outer edge, wherein when the closure flap is folded along the fold lines and closed, the folded region or fold-under region of the closure flap lies between or is sandwiched between the closure flap and the envelope body. The closure flap, when folded, may resemble a bilaterally symmetrical trapezium. Web portions 160 may connect the lateral edges to a rear panel 120. The fold lines may extend from the outer edge to the point at which a lateral edge meets the envelope body. The lateral edges of the closure flap may be collinear with the edges 112 of a front panel. The fold lines may define an angle of between 30 and 60 degrees relative to the axis of closure. |
