PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional slow plow may cause failure due to plowed and scattered snow during high speed running on a section with heavy snowfalls, and in a snow plow with a wing fin to which a measure for the failure is taken the fin may cause aerodynamic noise.SOLUTION: A snow plow for a high speed railway vehicle, which is provided at lower portion of the head of the high speed railway vehicle and plows fallen snow on a track, has a pair of side plates extended respectively toward outside and backward in a track width direction from a center line of the track, and comprises: a V-letter type plow in which a crossing ridge lines of front edges of the pair of side plates incline against the track at a predetermined rake angle; holding wings that are continuously provided toward outside in the track width direction from the upper edge of the V-letter type plow and forms an upward-protruding curved surface shape, where a ridge line at the apex of the curved surface extends along the upper edge of the V-letter type plow; and a horizontal portion that is extended horizontally toward outside of the track from a lateral end outside in the track width direction of the holding wings. |
