PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quinone derivative that can reduce a residual potential and enhance photosensitivity, and particularly, can be suitably used as an electron transporting material in a monolayer type photoreceptor.SOLUTION: The quinone derivative is represented by formula (1).
