PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation system for detecting light in a visible area and an optical sensor.SOLUTION: A light irradiation system 1 includes a light source 12 that emits first light of at least wavelength 380 to 500nm and an optical sensor 30. The optical sensor 30 includes a light receiving part 31 which includes a fluorescent body for converting first light of wavelength 380 to 500nm into a second light of wavelength 500 to 600nm; and a detection part 33 for detecting light guided from the light receiving part 31. The optical sensor 30 is disposed at a position irradiated by the light emitted from the light source 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
