PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handling method of a palm coconut seed core in which unpleasant odor is effectively reduced without performing carbonization of the palm coconut seed core after pressing kernel oil.SOLUTION: A handling method of a palm coconut seed core includes a process for adjusting the total water content of the palm coconut seed core obtained by pressing kernel oil within a range of 7 to 15 mass% and is characterized in that the total water content is retained within the range. Therein, such a process that an oil content measured by hexane extraction is adjusted into 0.3 mass% or less is included, and such a heat treatment process that the palm coconut seed core is heated at a temperature of 115°C or more is included are preferably performed in such conditions that carbonization substantially does not proceed.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
