PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium which achieves high transfer sensitivity during high-speed printing both in low-density parts and high-density parts, and can reduce dye to be used for a dye layer.SOLUTION: In a thermal transfer recording medium, an undercoating layer and a dye layer are laminated on a base material in order. The undercoating layer is formed by applying an application liquid for forming undercoating layers including polyvinyl alcohol and heat conductive fine particles and drying it. The heat conductivity of the undercoating layer is 1.0-5.0 W/(m×K). The dye layer is formed by applying an application liquid for forming dye layers including an anthraquinone compound as a thermal transferable dye and drying it. |
