PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type connecting rod made of a titanium alloy, that can generate stable axial force without involving an extra weight increase when joining a cap part by a bolt.SOLUTION: A connecting rod (1) is formed of a titanium alloy and comprises a rod body (10), a small end (20) provided at one end of the rod body, and a large end (30) provided at the other end of the rod body. The connecting rod is a split type in which the large end is split into a rod part (33) continuing to the other end of the rod body and a cap part (34) joined to the rod part, and further comprises a bolt (40) for joining the cap part to the rod part. The bolt has a bolt body (40a) formed of steel and a phosphate coat (40b) provided on the surface of the bolt body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
