PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for wire capable of forming a coating excellent in heat resistance and appearance and a wire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a coating material for wire consisting of following (A) component and (B) component or following (A) component, (B) component and (C) component and having the content of the (B) component of 0.01 to 5.0 mass% based on the total of the (A) component, the (B) component and the (C) component, including the case with the content of the (C) component of 0, melt flow rate is 0.5 g/10 min. or more and volume resistivity of over 10Ω cm. (A): a fluorine resin capable of molten molding. (B): a filler having aspect ratio of 100 or more. (C):a non-molten resin component.
