PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture a good fundus image with a corrected wavefront aberration.SOLUTION: The fundus photographing apparatus includes: a fundus imaging optical system for capturing a fundus image by receiving the light reflected from a fundus of an examinee's eye; a wavefront compensation device disposed in an optical path of the fundus imaging optical system for compensating the wavefront aberration of the examinee's eye by controlling the wavefront of incident light; a wavefront aberration measuring optical system for projecting measuring light toward the fundus of the examinee's eye and detecting the light reflected from the fundus by a wavefront sensor; and a control means for obtaining information on a pupil of the examinee's eye and changing the size of an effective region where the aberration correction control is effective by controlling the wavefront compensation device according to the obtained information on the pupil. |
