Disclosed are a terminal apparatus and a control method thereof, which can easily apply a setting and data of an existing terminal to a new terminal apparatus. The terminal apparatus includes: a communications interface unit receiving UI information set in another terminal apparatus; a control input unit receiving the selection of an UI setting to be applied to the terminal apparatus among UIs set in the another terminal apparatus based on the received UI information; a control unit setting the UI of the terminal apparatus based on the selected UI setting; and a display unit displaying the set UI.
