This invention relates to nuclear power engineering, specifically to a method for determining the level of coolant in the nuclear reactor, and systems for its implementation. A method for determining the level of coolant in a nuclear reactor is to calculate the weight of the nuclear reactor at a pressure of from 0.1 MPa to 17 MPa. After that, under a resisting ring of reactor there is placed weight strain gauges, and pressure sensors are placed on the main circulation pipeline. In the operation the signals from said sensors are continuously recorded and fed into the analogue-digital converters. These changes in the weight of nuclear reactor and of pressure in it, the received digital code is supplied to the operator station and compared with the weight before operating the reactor at a given pressure. On the level of coolant in a nuclear reactor it is made conclusion as for the size of nuclear reactor weight changes with the coolant, which remained, and the pressure in it. A system for determining the level of coolant in a nuclear reactor comprises weight strain gauges, pressure sensors, sub-complexes for collecting and processing data on the weight of the reactor, sub-complexes for collecting and processing data on the pressure in the reactor, the operator station and the archive server which are interconnected in a specific pattern. Said invention is to increase the accuracy and reliability of determining the level of coolant in the reactor and, consequently, the safety of the nuclear reactor operation. |
