PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize simplification of a medium processing apparatus that can process a plurality of mediums.SOLUTION: A medium processing device 1 comprises: a common transportation unit 102 which transports both of a thick medium that is relatively thick and hardly bent and a thin medium that is thinner than the thick medium and easily bent; an exclusive transportation unit 112 which is arranged at the downstream of the common transportation unit 102 to transport the thin medium only; and a medium selection unit 12 which is arranged between the common transportation unit 102 and the exclusive transportation unit 112 to select and transport the thin medium only on the basis of difference of thickness or characteristic to be hardly bent from the mediums transported from the common transportation unit 102 to the exclusive transportation unit 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
