PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for a vehicle which secures the flexibility of the installation position of an attachment portion to which a card-type information recording medium is detachably attached, and achieves improvement of noise performance.SOLUTION: A device 10 for a vehicle includes: an attachment portion 11 to which a card-type information recording medium 100 is detachably attached; a control unit 12 for conducting information writing operation and reading operation on the information recording medium 100 attached to the attachment portion 11; a conversion unit 13 for conducting information conversion processing between the information recording medium 100 attached to the attachment portion 11 and the control unit 12; a communication cable 15 connecting the conversion unit 13 with the attachment portion 11; and a communication cable 16 connecting the conversion unit 13 with the control unit 12.
