THE CHECK METHOD AND APPARATUS OF RESIDUAL QUANTITY IN PAIL PACK'S WELDING WIRE FOR AUTOMATION WELDING SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a method to detect an amount of a pail-pack welding wire remaining in an automatic welding device including a wire feeding device comprising: a pail pack wherein a wire is loaded; a straighter installed in a top of a cover of the pail pack, having a plurality of straighter rollers; and a wire feeding unit transferring the wire loaded inside the pail pack toward a welding torch using a feeding roller operated by a feeding motor. The method to detect the amount of the pail-pack welding wire remaining in the automatic welding device comprises: a step of measuring a weight of the pail pack when mounting the pail pack in the wire feeding device; a step of calculating a total length of the wire based on a correlation between the wire weight, which is calculated based on the measured pail pack weight, and the wire length in accordance with a diameter of the selected wire when the diameter of the wire to be fed is selected; a step of calculating not only a length of the wire remaining inside the pail pack by measuring the length of the wire fed from the pail pack when welding, but also the weight of the wire remaining inside the pail pack based on the measured pail pack weight; and a step of outputting warning signals when the calculated length and weight of the wire remaining inside the pail pack are a reference value or less at the same time. According to the present invention, a replacement timing is able to be known by automatically measuring the remaining amount of the welding wire, thereby preventing industrial accidents. In addition, productivity is able to be improved by reducing a travel time of a worker, and preventing the worker from leaving a working area.
