The grooving and embossing tool has a support plate at which a grooving plate is arranged and supported such that spacing between the grooving plate and the support plate remains unchanged with respect to spacing between the grooving plate and the support plate in a rest state while applying force on the grooving plate in an embossing step. A base element (10) is arranged between the support and grooving plates, where the relative position of the grooving plate is adjustable with respect to the support plate.
