PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and a communication apparatus log storage method that are able to appropriately consume storage capacity and to accumulate effective log data at the time of an error.SOLUTION: A typical configuration of a communication apparatus according to the present invention is a communication apparatus 120 including a communication unit 126 for communicating with another device. The communication apparatus comprises: a log file 124a and a backup file 124b for storing a log when an event has occurred, and a control unit 122 for having the backup file 124b store part or all of logs stored in the log file 124a.
