PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus that can reduce the generation amount of ultrafine particles from a heating roller.SOLUTION: In a fixing device 6, a main heater 611 heats a heating roller 61 and controls the amount of heating through feedback of the temperature of the heating roller 61 during rotation. A sub heater 612, while the rotation of the heating roller 61 and heating by the main heater 611 are stopped, heats both ends of the heating roller 61 without feedback control. The sub heater 612 heats the heating roller 61 with the quantity of heat smaller than the quantity of heat of the main heater 611.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
