PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a fuel cell with a reduced anode showing a power output improved under some conditions.SOLUTION: The method for operating fuel cell includes a membrane electrode assembly having an anode for a gas-like anode reaction substance to be supplied at an anode pressure and a cathode for a gas-like cathode reaction substance to be supplied at a cathode pressure.
