PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high-speed route switchover of a ring network in a relay system and a relay device that uses a ring protocol specified in ITU-T G.8032, for example.SOLUTION: A ring control unit performs communication of a control frame at a ring port to control a ring network, and receives a delete command for an address table through the control frame. When a first deletion command is received, an address table processing unit inhibits learning processing of the address table, and thereafter starts the deletion of the address table. Then, when the N-th (N is an integer of 2 or greater) deletion command is received in a period before the completion of the address table deletion, the address table processing unit continues to execute the address table deletion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
