The present invention relates to an electric rice cooker with an automatic pressure lock and release function, comprising: an inner pot having a first shoulder member at an upper side thereof; an outer pot having the inner pot inside and a heater for heating the inner pot; a lid for covering an upper part of the inner pot; a rotating body which operates in response to power supplied by a commercial alternating current power source, is configured to be rotatable with the lid closing the inner pot, and has a second shoulder member configured to couple with or be separated from the first shoulder member of the inner pot depending on the angle of the rotation, thereby turning the inner pot into a pressure released or pressure locked state; a rotation operating module which rotates the rotating body in response to an applied power supply; a manipulation unit for receiving the manipulation by a user to switch the inner pot to a pressure released or pressure locked state; and a control module for controlling power supplied to the rotation operating module in response to the user manipulation received by the manipulation unit. |
