PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device and a printing method that can appropriately correct printing timing.SOLUTION: A printing method, which performs printing on a continuous paper on which a plurality of recording element rows EL1-EL4 are conveyed, performs: a step of memorizing a peripheral length L(B) of a timing roller at the time of acquiring correction data B associating the length with the correction data B; a step of acquiring a peripheral length Lp of the timing roller during printing after the peripheral length L(B) of the timing roller at the time of acquiring the correction data B is memorized; and a step of correcting the correction data B on the basis of the peripheral length L(B) at the time of acquiring the correction data B and the peripheral length Lp during printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
