PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve space saving and reduction in costs by improving a power source or its peripheral circuits.SOLUTION: An absolute value of a DC voltage applied to a photoconductive drum shaft X is set to be smaller than an absolute value of each of: a potential of a surface of a photoconductive drum 1a which is electrically charged by a charging roller 2a, before an exposure by exposure means 31a; a potential of a region of the surface of the photoconductive drum 1a that has been exposed by the exposure means 31a; and a DC voltage applied to a developing roller 4a, and to be larger than an absolute value of DC voltage applied to a primary transfer roller 14a. The DC voltages applied to the photoconductive drum shaft X, the charging roller 2a, and the primary transfer roller 14a have the same polarity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
