The present invention relates to an end shield for a motor and a method for manufacturing the same. Wherein, the end shield for the motor is separated into a first bracket and a second bracket. The first bracket has an insulating layer on the external diameter, and the first bracket having the insulating layer on the external diameter is inserted into and coupled to the internal diameter of the second bracket by shrink-fitting in order to insulate a bearing. To this end, the present invention preferably includes: the first bracket having a bearing hole into which the bearing rotatably fixing a rotating shaft is inserted; a second bracket coupled to a housing of a motor, in which the first bracket is inserted into and coupled to the internal diameter of the second bracket; and an insulating layer interposed between the first bracket and the second bracket to electrically segregate the first bracket from the second bracket. Accordingly, the end shield for the motor is separated into the first bracket and the second bracket. The first bracket has the insulating layer on the external diameter, and the first bracket having the insulating layer on the external diameter is inserted into and coupled to the internal diameter of the second bracket by shrink-fitting in order to block a micro-current flowing to the bearing with the insulating layer, so that the bearing is prevented from corroding by the micro-current. |
