PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion device capable of expanding a balloon uniformly and instantly.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 100 as an expansion device comprises a catheter 10 having an expansion lumen 15 for circulating a fluid, and a balloon 20 provided on a tip side of the catheter 10 and capable of being expanded by the fluid. The balloon 20 comprises a first balloon part 21 provided at an outer periphery on the tip side of the catheter 10 and communicating with the expansion lumen 15, and a second balloon part 22 which is provided so as to cover a radial outer side of the first balloon part 21 and in which a closed space 23 is formed on a radial inner side. A radial dimension of the first balloon part 21 during expansion is smaller than that of the second balloon part 22. Regions 25 having smaller burst strength than other regions of a peripheral surface 24 of the first balloon part 21 are provided in a plurality of places on the peripheral surface 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
