Disclosed is a compact keyboard comprising: a shift key placed on a side surface; physical independent keys arranged in a four rows by three columns matrix on the top surface; and Korean-character input keys for inputting Korean characters by having a virtual combination key formed by combining two adjacent independent keys. The compact keyboard according to the present invention allows not only a full but rapid key input of Korean characters from just the physical keys arranged in the four rows by three columns matrix, that is, from just the 12 physical alphabetic input keys by setting the key code by means of a simultaneous input of adjacent keys. Therefore, provided is a compact physical keyboard implementing desirable portability and capability for rapid Korean-character input. |
