The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal and method for processing telephone call connection based on the speed of a vehicle. The present invention provides a mobile communication terminal for processing telephone call connection based on the speed of a vehicle, comprising: a wireless communication unit which receives a telephone call connection signal transmitted from a transmitting mobile communication terminal over a mobile communication network; a memory unit which stores connection blocking reference speed information for determination of whether to block telephone call connection for the telephone call connection signal and a guidance message regarding blocking of telephone call connection; an external device connecting interface unit which is connected to an audio-video (AV) device, installed in a vehicle, in a wired or wireless manner, and receives vehicle speed information as speed information of the vehicle, from the AV device; and a control unit which, when receiving the telephone call connection signal through the wireless communication unit in a state in which the external connecting interface unit has been connected to the AV device in a wired or wireless manner, compares the vehicle speed information with the connection blocking reference speed information, and, when the vehicle speed information is greater than the connection blocking reference speed information, transmits the guidance message to the transmitting mobile communication terminal through the wireless communication unit and blocks the telephone call connection with the transmitting mobile communication terminal. |
