PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fin and tube type heat exchanger keeping a discharge water characteristic of condensate water (dew condensation water) adhered to its surface and restricting bad influence against ventilation resistance and heat exchanging efficiency.SOLUTION: There are provided a plurality of flat tubes 3 arranged in parallel to each other in a vertical direction and a plurality of plate-like fins 2 arranged in parallel to each other in a direction crossing at a right angle with the flat tubes in which the plate-like fins are provided with tube insertion grooves 2a with one end of the plate-like fin in its width direction being opened and extending in a width direction, the flat tubes are provided with flanges extending along the flat tubes in at least one end of the flat tube, and a water discharging clearance (a water flow passage 10) is formed among a plurality of cut and raised pieces 8 cut and raised through the recesses arranged under an appropriate pitch in a longitudinal direction of the flat tube, the cut and raised pieces are contacted with at least the plate-like fins under a state in which the flat tube is inserted into the tube insertion groove of the plate-like fin and protruded to the outside of each of the plate-like fins.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
