PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for diagnosing and treating diseases related to TH2 inhibition including but not limited to asthma.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for identifying patients of asthma or respiratory diseases having a potential to response to the treatment with a TH2 pathway inhibitor, which method comprises determining whether the patient is eosinophilic inflammation positive (EIP) or not by using eosinophilic inflammation diagnostic assay (EIDA), where EIP status shows the possibility of the patient to respond the treatment with a TH2 pathway inhibitor. The patient to be treated with a TH2 pathway inhibitor is a moderate to severe asthma patient not controllable with a corticosteroid prior to the treatment, and then treated with the TH2 pathway inhibitor (anti-IL-13 antibody) and one, two, three or more controllers.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
