PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment for aqueous ink which is hard to be precipitated in an aqueous ink medium, and also can form a coating film having satisfactory hiding power, and an aqueous ink composition.SOLUTION: The pigment for aqueous ink comprises (A) an organic-inorganic composite in which there are disposed organic polymer particles having a 50% volume particle diameter of 10 to 300 nm and dispersible into an aqueous medium in a matrix mainly consisting of a metal oxide whose refractive index in a wavelength of 589.3 nm (Na-D line) is ≥1.8 and/or (B) a metal oxide porous body in which there are dispersed pores having the average pore diameter of 10 to 300 nm in a matrix mainly consisting of a metal oxide whose refractive index in a wavelength of 589.3 nm (Na-D line) is ≥1.8. The aqueous ink composition includes the pigment. |
