The present invention relates to a mobile terminal to effectively display necessary information for a user by using a property of a flexible display unit, and a control method thereof. According to embodiments of the present invention, the mobile terminal can comprise: the flexible display unit displaying image information on an entire screen; a sensing unit sensing whether the flexible display unit is folded; and a control unit dividing the entire screen of the flexible display unit into a plurality of screens based on a sensed position where the flexible display unit is folded, rearranging the displayed image information depending on the divided screens, and displaying the rearranged image information on at least one of the divided screens. |
