PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To genetically create a microorganism which can efficiently produce reveromycin A and a synthetic intermediate thereof; to provide a method for efficiently obtaining a spiroketal ring-containing compound; and to provide a novel anticancer agent, an antifungal agent, and a therapeutic agent for bone disorders.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a Streptomyces bacteria having productivity of reveromycin A or a synthetic intermediate thereof, wherein the expression of a revQ gene encoding an amino acid sequence of sequence ID number 36 or an amino acid sequence having 80% or more identity with the amino acid sequence is modified to increase compared with a parent strain, and thereby the productivity is increased more than the parent strain.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
