PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and quickly copying data of a virtual sequential access volume (hereinafter, called to VSAV) sequentially, between at least two computers.SOLUTION: A method of the invention comprises:(a) a step for writing first data of a first VSAV to a first storage unit of a first computer;(b) a step for updating version information of the first VSAV, and storing the updated version information and information of a writing start position of the first data in the first storage unit;(c) a step for transmitting the information of the writing start position of the first data to a second computer;(d) a step for writing the first data in a second storage unit of the second computer from the first data writing start position;(e) and a step for updating the version information of the first VSAV, and storing the updated version information and the received first data writing start position information in the second storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
