PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rigid material capable of obtaining a sintered body having excellent wear resistance, when being used as a material for the sintered body; and to provide a sintered body, a cutting tool containing the sintered body, a production method of a rigid material and a production method of the sintered body.SOLUTION: A rigid material contains at least one kind selected from aluminum, nitrogen, titanium, chromium and silicon, and has a cubic crystal rock salt structure. The rigid material also contains 0.1-3.0 mass% copper, and further contains a 0.5-5.0 mass% metal containing at least one kind selected from iron, nickel and cobalt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
