The screw comprises a thread (26), which is produced by a rolling process, particularly a flat baking rolling process. The thread is formed by two material beads, which forms a base body in the rolling process of the base body by cold forming. The thread comprises a closing fold (32), at which the material beads meet one another. The closing fold is arranged in an area of a thread flank (30a,30b) of the thread. The closing fold is provided on the thread flank of the thread pointing against the load impact direction (L). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a screw thread. |
