Provided is a latch unit for a locking device for a dishwasher, which comprises: a latch body fixated on the main frame of the dishwasher to form the exterior body and to have a mounting space inside; a hanging member installed in the latch body to be able to move forward and backward and to be able to rotate up and down around the end on the rear side, which has a constraining end for constraining a hanging bump of a locking unit formed by being bent downward on the end on the front side; a recovery member compressed when the hanging member moves forward, and recovered when the hanging member moves backward, which assists the movement backward of the hanging member; and a slider installed on the front side part in the latch body to be able to move forward and backward and to be moved backward by the hanging bump of the locking unit to gradually pressurize the constraining end of the hanging member for the hanging bump to be constrained by being hung on the constraining end. The present invention can reduce the force required when the door is to be closed, increase the force required when the door is to be opened, and let the door be opened and closed smoothly. The present invention can also prevent an unwanted opening of the door when the door is closed. |
