摘要 Hybrid active and passive people metering for audience measurement is disclosed. Example audience identification methods disclosed herein include detecting a trigger signal output from a media device meter. Disclosed example methods also include, in response to determining that an image captured by an image sensor does not correspond to any one of a plurality of recognized audiences, passing the trigger signal to an input of a people meter to cause the people meter to output a prompt for entry of audience identification information. Disclosed example methods further include, in response to determining that the image corresponds to a first one of the plurality of recognized audiences, blocking the trigger signal from being passed to the input of the people meter to prevent the people meter from outputting the prompt.
