In a heterogeneous mobile communication network, for the purpose of load balancing and cell range expansion, CRE, of small cells, mechanisms are proposed for adjusting handover parameters, such as cell signal measurement offsets, and exchange of such parameters between entities, such as a macro cell base sttion and a small cell base station transceivers. The macro cell base station transceiver apparatus waits for a delay period before forwarding handover parameters, received over a backhaul interface from the small cell base station transceiver apparatus, to a mobile transceiver. The small cell base station transceiver apparatus provides time setting information for the delay period to the macro cell base station transceiver apparatus. A base station transceiver communicates handover parameters to multiple mobile transceivers over a common channel. |
