The technical idea of the present invention provides an electro-optic modulator capable of being used for detecting defective picture elements of a high-resolution display with fine pitches and relates to a testing device with the electro-optic modulator. The testing device includes: a light source; the electro-optic modulator arranged on the top of an object to be tested, having a reflective film made with a cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) polymer, and allowing an intensity of lights reflected by a corresponding part to be different in accordance with a voltage distribution of the object to be tested; a beam splitter (BS) transmitting through or reflecting lights; a first optical system transmitting the lights emitted from the light source to the beam splitter; and a second optical system transmitting the reflected lights from the electro-optic modulator to the beam splitter.
