The present invention relates to an OFDM cooperative communication system using superposition modulation and a method thereof, wherein the cooperative communication method comprises the steps of: allowing a transmission terminal to perform superposition modulation on multiple reference signals and transmit the superposition-modulated reference signals to multiple relay terminals; receiving a result of an exclusive OR operation and relay data to be transmitted by the multiple relay terminals, from the multiple relay terminals that have performed the exclusive OR operation for the superposition-modulated reference signals; selecting two relay terminals among the multiple relay terminals via the exclusive OR operation result; generating superpositioned signals by performing superposition modulation on the relay data received from the selected relay terminals with transmission data to be transmitted by the transmission terminal; and transmitting the superpositioned signals to a receiving terminal via the selected relay terminals. According to the presentation, by using the communication system using superposition modulation and the method thereof, it is possible to simultaneously transmit, to a receiving terminal, transmission terminal signals desired to be transmitted by the transmission terminal and relay terminal signals wanted to be transmitted by the relay terminal, while maintaining a bit error rate and a transmission rate similar to those of an existing 16 QAM method. Accordingly, diversity advantages can be obtained. |
