The present invention relates to a compound represented by chemical formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and to a pharmaceutical composition and a functional health food comprising the compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active component for preventing or treating bone diseases. More particularly, the composition of the present invention has an effect of suppressing differentiation and activation of osteoclasts and can suppress bone diseases caused by bone loss, thereby being useful as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the diseases.
