An apparatus (10) suitable for steam setting and finishing textile articles carried by forms (19), comprising first and second shell members (11, 12) having facing inner surfaces (13, 14) defining a flat steam chamber (18), in which at least one of the shell members (11, 12) is movably supported between a retracted and an advanced position to open and close the steam chamber connectable to a steam source, to reduce the heat losses and consumption of thermal energy, in which both shell members (11, 12) are integrally manufactured with a non-metal thermally-insulating material. |
